Gerald Gardner & The Witchcraft Revival
Philip Heselton

Published by Mandrake Press

A fascinating mixture of fragments for anyone interested in the origins of Wicca. The first section of the book is a nicely précised biography of the highlights and important landmarks of Gerald Gardner’s life. The book then moves on to reproductions of associated historical curiosities set up by Gardner, like the original Introduction to Visitors for the first Witchcraft museum (the Folklore Centre of Superstition and Witchcraft on the Isle of Man), which evolved to become The Witches’ Mill. An introduction, details of the contents by case and a brief A-Z of witchcraft, all from the latter museum are also reproduced, with many interesting photographs. The book concludes with copies of a couple of articles on witchcraft by Gardner. Well worth a look for the material you are unlikely to find anywhere else.
